You can't normally use cheat codes in multiplayer.

It is possible to cheat by other means, but it is frowned upon.

Don't cheat. Period. It defeats the purpose of actually playing.

Well, Link. Actually it IS possible to cheat online using cheat codes. You just have to know how :D

That's why I said "normally".

And anyways, I don't know exactly how it is done, but doesn't it need some cheating by "other means" first?

Yea. For example hosting a multiplayer game and changing the game type to single player with Controller 4. Good thing I disabled this for clients in controller :)
