Ok, people i need some help here in deciding. Im making an SP pack, 1.5 levels done so far, and its looking great. But suddenly, i have this insipiration for making some CTF levels which will be REALLY good, i assure you. I cant make both at once, although im sure ill finish making my CTF pack faster if i start on it soon. So which would u guyz (and girls) want me to make first and then upload.
3 options

I'd go mad if option 3 was in the lead!

CTF. Capture the Flag pwns. Single player is OK, but CTF pwns most.

Single Player. Finish what you start before you start something else.

Thnx for the adive ppl. Yes KRSPlat, i agree with you on that point, but my SP lacks inspiration, and when making a level without inspiration, it usually ends up bad.

There are countless good CTF levels out there. There's a shortage of Single Player levels, though. Also they often end up being better.

I have NO idea why i posted the third option *wacks himself unconsious on the head*
*wakes up*
Anyways, for now i dont have any inspiration for BOTH
Whichever one the inspiration comes to first....

Ill consider that offer, but im more used to making original type CTF. That new idea might turn out good though, but im not fully sure, ill need to think it over.
Just a stupid curious question, which tilesets are you thinking of using?

Up to now i wont use anything other than the original tilesets, but if you can come up with a decent enough custom tileset ill consider breaking my principal :) If i catch you on msn ill be able to talk about some of my ideas in more detail. One is to use 4 ctf bases/flags rather than just 2, but ill explain more over a proper conversation.

4 CTF bases in a normal CTF level leads to lots of problems. Trust me.

If you want, i can name you 25 or so decent sets right now!:) Im not on MSN very often, so good luck catching me.

Even know CTF is crappy, and SP is better. I'll say CTF only on account of the info you're giving me. You're saying that you are making an SP pack but you had some inspirations of TF levels, with this known. Finish the CTF levels then come back to the SP levels.

Thanks, now Neither is no more in the lead}>
Anyways, im working on both, and they are turning to be good. Ill post the progress of them here if you want.

OK, Ive thought about it Merlyn, and ive come to a conclusion }>
Although i want to keep with my idea of making original CTF levels with custom tilesets, i will volunteer for assistance if you need help making your strange 4 based CTF levels:confused:
But i cant really join forces to make the strange4 based CTF levels:confused: because I have other things in mind. Sorry.
Good Luck and hopeyou get a rating higher than 6;)

@ UR: Could you detail the sort of problems you get with multiple bases, might save me wasting my time making it.
@Blackraptor: No probs, and i probably will bring you in to help on the design if and when you get some time. For now im content to just bring up my stock of "normal" levels (I've only released 2 so far) and in turn, hopefully, my reputation. :)

Ill detail you myself. One is, that a player grabs the blue flag from blue base 1, and a player gets a flag from blue base 2. A player of the opposite team gets a flag from red base 1, but both the blue players go to the other red base and bingo, red team gets 2 points at the same time. How can you play like this, 2vs2 is impossible because in 2 vs 2, one player is usually the defence, and one is the attacker, you basically cant defend, for one base will always be undgarded. There are other bugs, but this one comes to mind first.
I wish you would understand what i am trying to say, but sadly i do not know how to write my feelings about this. Turn back while you still can;)
Also, about the design of the levels, sure. But I may design in a way you dont want the levels to be like, so you may want to download some of my LATER works (namely my CTF pack) and see how i design CTF levels. But if you dont ccare how the design wil turn out, sure, if i have time ill be glad to design the levels for you, but not entirely, since these are your levels, and you should be the one making them. Otherwise, if i do help, id like to be credited;)

What you just mentioned is merely a problem of strategy. However, what I meant is this;
Blue player 1 captures red flag 1 and goes to red base 2, which has a red flag at it. He goes onto red base 2. This causes Blue player 1 to keep his flag, but for red to score a point instead of blue. The same, obviously, applies if a red player with a blue flag goes onto a blue base with flag.

In the design ive got planned, neither of those 2 scenarios would apply, they couldnt happen.

CTF. Capture the Flag pwns. Single player is OK, but CTF pwns most.
The very fact that you can go through the entire JJ2 game without being hurt once (if you try) puts a damper on my relationship with SP. ;P
