First of all, welcome to the JCF. :)

There is a reason the patch is not on his site. It sort of defeats the point of passwords. While I'm sure that someone will give you the patch off the JCF, transferring programs like this over the JCF is never a good idea. In fact, transferring programs like this over anything is never a good idea, but especially the JCF.

You misunderstood tecjcs

IT is used to open 1.23 passworded levels, because it was made for the 1.23 version. If you want something like this for TSF as well, i cant help you there......

Please understand BlackRaptor, that this program only was spread to people that wouldn't abuse it and spread it too much.
Likely you'r giving it away to a "newbie" (not meant as offense, just that you'r new) that could open levels that shouldn't be opened and edited, I suggest you delete the patch yourself sinice you seen like not being able to control it.
Overlord dosen't have the patch himself because he didn't find it usefull somehow, and now it's only avilbe by spreading. This program is also a stupid releashe, sinice you should have right to protect your levels if you want it.

Oh, and incase you were wondering, i NEVER edit others levels'. I only use the patch to hack into levels to see how they were made, so i can learn from them, but i do NOT edit. <s>Thanks for making my life worse now</s>

You don't need to crack levels to learn stuff, 'bout the walking under water, you can learn that at Overlord's site. And might as well other things. And if you want to learn even more just read the whole JCS Help file.

TECJCS wasn't by Overlord, I doubt that he even ever was in TEC. I believe Overlord's JCS patch was called Overlord.exe.

Actually I first uploaded the cracked JCS for 1.23 on my site named Overlord.exe. Then I later removed it and uploaded the anti-password patches for 1.23 and TSF jcs which were also removed due to demand of the community. I am now also against spreading this program even tho I sometimes find it useful.

That TEC jcs is probably mine but was just renamed.

People who ask for overlord's patch is a newbie. Levels called CowWorld just begin to suggest this.

On-topic: You may try hex-editing. Some bits in the level (.j2l) file contain the password, try to change them ;) altough I have no idea how :P.

You could always send the level to someone else to remove the password for you.

P.S. I don't see why anyone would want to open a file anyway. The only reason I could see me doing it is if I forgot my password.

If you just are going to "look and learn", contact the athour and ask him/her for the password. They proably wont mind you have it.

Passwording levels is dumb. There is only 1 kind of level that you need to password and that is a test level that has passwords in it to continue from other levels.

Meaning my new test level: Aerial Precision, is the only level I have ever made that is passworded.
