I've salvaged what I can. Some images were lost and some outdated scripts were causing errors, so I've had to make a few changes, but for the most part, it's still intact in its original form.

What is it? Well..<a href="http://www.inosoftware.com/onag/jazz1.html" target="_blank">go see</a>!

P.S.:
Heh, i just recognized that i still have that link to your GeoCities site on my little german Jazz site (Die Hasenpfote (http://jazz.41k0.org/)). Here it is: http://www.geocities.com/SouthBeach/Boardwalk/5248/jazz1.html.

Holy crap, another Onag sighting. Hi.

The return of Jazz2 @ Onag, and well deserved. It's nice to see so many old players returning to be involved in the community. And to look - the last update on the news section is from August 1999!

Thanks for the nostalgia, Onag.

Uhm who are you? Oh yes, now I remember ;). Yes, I stumbled across that site as well like a month ago. I still enjoy reading the information :)

I just thought of it. Onag must be a part of the new *it*. Why would he come here else. There must be a secret clue on Jazz@Onag ;).

Seattle? Wow. Another Western Washington Jazzer. A rare find. ;)

Welcome back!

*It* was the original name for The Secret Files. However, recently it has came to light that Noogy might be working on something with Epic...this has recently been referred to as *It*.

The site is cool - gave me a good blast of nostolgia.

*it* is the new rumor, which I don't believe to be true, but any hope is good hope. Some people think that since Noogy posted here they might be working on JJ3. Well, here's hoping!

(And whatever happened to giving this one a different name?)

Yes, but why are almost all Jazz sites dead. I mean we have around 10 up to date Keen site and 1 Jazz site!

I doubt that. I think the keen community would concentrate more on one site as well, if it would be as interactive as Jazz2Online. And Keen has a very different history.

Oh yes, I challenge you to name ten CK sites. Updated in the last month ;)

He told me he won't, since the dethman account already is taken by someone. And noone would believe it was him anyway.

All Keen related pages, not all are up to date but the members are all still active on the Keen forum. If you also want Keen sites who aren't up to date than there are at least 30.

But anyway, why build a site if noone's going to visit it. Because J2O is better anyway?

No. J2O isn't always better.
J2O is only the site that everyone knows, and if you make a new one, nobody know about it and if everyone does, they "like" J2O more because they always come there.

True.

And I do agree that Haze's Hideout is pretty cool. J2o's only useful (IMO) things are the downloads and the pictures sections.

I agree with Cracco, you can't really call the link section usefull sinice it's so rarely used, and the JCF is a part of the homepage and can't really be *usefull*, while Haze's Hideout has alot of usefull Jazz releated news, infomation, and downloads on.

You can not compare Jazz2Online with Haze's Hideout. Because the concept of the two sites is different: while Jazz2Online is interactive and kind of a "meetingplace" for the community (esspecially the downloads and the forum), HH provides basic information about the game, and non-homecooked downloads like SW versions etc.
However, in my very personal opinion, the value of an interactive site like J2O is higher, because it can keep a whole community alive. Nevertheless, HH is awesome (and by the way, i think it is not completely unlikely that someday at least parts of HH will be integrated into J2O).
And on a last note, if we talk about the three remaining real good Jazz sites, we should not forget about LoriCentral by DrJones.
Happy weekend y'all.

P.S.: I disagree with Moonblaze and Craccoboy. The J2O links and also the forum are very, very useful (there is a lot of interesting information in General J2 Talk, JCS talk and, for example, Tech Help). On the contrary, the pictures section can not be considered useful, but a nice and sometimes funny gimmick.

*me is partly to blame for that, goes to look at what he can do about it*

And thanks for the praises on the Hideout. As pointed out it never has been my intention to "compete" with J2O and I strive to provide different kinds of information.
I think this should also be kept in mind when creating new Jazz sites. Do something original and stand out from the crowd! This made sites such as Jazz2Stuff legendary!
