Is there a program that allows one to have a preset order of levels so that somebody can host an idle server without having to get the password for every level or change the next level with Project Controller? It would really come in handy.

Well, there is a wonderful thing called asking the person for the password to the level.

It might also be possible to make a program that will detect when a level is completed and then change the next level memory address to the next one in a list. I'll look into the pssibility of making such a thing.

That would be really helpful, especially for dedicated servers.
I would also like to see a program that detects when a server crashes and restarts it. ;-P

I can tell you it's possible. Overlord's Controller 4 lets you change the next level setting of the current level. I think with a bit of effort he could make it so you specify a bunch of levels and those will be a loop.
That's exactly what I was thinking.

As previously mentioned, changing file names would require going into level preferences, which requires going into the level, which often requires a password. That is why this would be so helpful.
I would also like to see a "when loop is done, start at beginning option" so the server would not crash when the level rotation was done.

You people just expect to much, soon you'll probably have a robot play jj2 for you because your to lazy to even ask for a password.

It is not that we expect too much, it is that it would be a huge conveniance. We also know that it is possible.

The problem arises when the author has quit the game or is unable to be contacted. This happens a lot, especially when hosting classic levels.

Then that is when The password hacking jcs comes into use. Although im probably going to get flamed for having it and using it, i just want you ppl to know I only use it to view other people's levels more closely (especially when im reviewing them) and to add them to a server rotation and see how they are made. I dont use it for haxoring levels to edit them or take credit for them, so there. :p

Or if one is too lazy to ask for a password :P
That's why you shouldn't password your levels. If people edit it, then its their problem. Sure people could say that it is theirs, but they would be lying. So even though they win, they are a bad person.
Umm, nevermind.

Well, if you use that, then you are cheating, which makes you a bad person, which means that you probably don't really care about my above post :P

KRSplat, how are you cheating if you dont even touch the level, but just look at it?
Blackraptor

And no, i dont cheat by looking for secrets in the level.

You are changing the level by removing the password from it.
