If you could ask the Jazz2 developer's anything, what would you ask?

Early this evening CliffyB came into #jj2 and was letting us ask him questions about anything. He only answered a few, but did "allude that he [Cliffy] and noogy are cooperating". Anyway, a couple questions were never answered, so I thought it might be interesting if I made a thread where people could ask any question Jazz2 related to any Jazz2 developer. Perhaps sometime one of them will stop by and take the time to answer all of them...

Anyway, two of the major questions asked that never got answered in #jj2:

Is it illegal to use Jazz or Spaz in a fan game?
Would it be possible to forward the old list server somewhere? (more or less)

And btw, Epic re-registed jazzjackrabbit.com until 2006 =/

If a new Jazz game were to be made, would it be from scratch or would it borrow elements from the unfinished JJ3 pre-alpha? For example: The story, the ideas, the world

Would any of the rocking music from the pre-alpha be used, if a new Jazz game were to be made? Cause you can't go past Alexander Brandon.

Would it be legal to create the Jazz Jackrabbit characters for use in other games? Eg: player models etc.

Cliffy's (very) cool. He and the other Epic guys are a bit more active in the Unreal community, obviously (Cliff runs a site called "CliffyB's 0wnage", documenting the best usermaps, and various Biz Guys and programemrs wander forums) and stuff.

Mind you, I REALLY hope that there's a new Jazz game coming out. I can imagine a 3D Jazz game using the new-generation Unreal technology... excuse me while I wipe drool off my clothes.

Heheh me too. I also hope that if it comes out on consoles, the PC version comes out at the same time, with added features so we can laugh at the console people. He's a PC icon, darnit!

What is it with the Nali, they like, worship weapons. First the 8 ball gun in the temple of the Nali water god, and then the flak cannon in the church tower. An interesting behaviour for such a peaceful people.
