View Full Version : Too many tiles or anim-tiles? =\

While creating a level, I got an error message when I saved it saying that the level has too many tiles or anim-tiles.. that happened the second time already. When I put some anims into it, that is...
Now how to stop this? >_<
I never got that error before!
The level uses the tileset Raging Inferno by Disguise.
The level's dimensions are 135 W, 150 H.
I can't really leave all animations out because they're absolutely essential for traps, sequences and all such things which I want my level to have LOTS of. It shall be GOOD!
So...any way how to get around this without saving the level in 1.24?

When I get this error, I just ignore it. And my level usually works normally. I don't know if this works for you though.

It doesn't save at all when I get the error.

It means you have too many animations. Remove some.

I can't. They're essential. After all, there aren't many at all... about seven only.

Raging Inferno supports a maximum of 3 animations. Sorry.

Oy....
Hey, is there the possibilty Disguise could rebuild the tileset for me so it does support more and I don't have to rebuild everything again?

Or you can rebuild it youself by taking out some tiles.

Dun think so.
And the question is if it counts how many tiles the tileset has or how much of it is filled with colors...
Tiles. Max number of tiles is 1024, and Raging Inferno has in the set 1020, so you get a max of four Anim tiles.

****. Well, I'll ask Disguise if he'll make it for me...

Three, not four. You don't actually get to use #1024, as it says you are 0 tiles in excess.
It still works with 0 in excess. It lets you save and doesn't blow up.

Raging Inferno = 1020 tiles
1.24 max = 4096 tiles
4096 - 1020 - 1 = 3075 animation tiles
Need more? That's how you do it, and it's the only way how you do it.
If I do not reply to this thread by 1:15am GMT you're on your own...*dissapears*

Well, not everyone has 1.24. Why not just be nice and give everyone a slightly smaller version of Raging Inferno?

Done...decided not to make an example lvl.
Removed the black stuff, new set is now 920 tiles (leaves you with 103 animations). Your level is gonna be bust, wasted beyond belief, but hey, I changed it for ya, so be happy :p
