I don't know... you've got to remember that in JJ1, she treated her captor with scorn, attempted to escape, fought against the Schwarzenguard, managed to send a warning message to Jazz for Episode 3, and even saved his life at the end of Episode 6. In JJ2, her role was diminished because most of the game didn't take place in a time where she was even alive, but she did send Spaz to rescue Jazz and save the world, which he probably wouldn't have thought of on his own.
