Once, somebody converted the whole JJ1 first episode into JJ2 format using the JJ2 tilesets. I think it would be a fun project to try to turn all 9 episodes into JJ2 format using converted tilesets. I was about to try to execute this idea, but 2 minutes after I began, I realized it's way too hard, mostly because I have Windows XP. Anything later than Windows 2000 or Windows ME is very "anti-DOS" which is a mistake on Bill Gate's part. If he wants something new, he should get rid of the Sound Recorder Accessory, Paint, and Calculator. He's been using the same versions since late 1994, you know? Anyway, I don't wanna get off topic, but I think it would be a neat idea to do this. Who else thinks so?

I know someone did Diamondus, they may have done all of the first episode, I forget. Check the J20 download section.

And they shouldn't get rid of Calculator! I use it all the time! It's the best program ever!

The main problem is that JJ1 has a lot of things JJ2 doesn't - most of the bosses, being able to shoot as a bird, a lizard morph, wall springs which send you up, those weird bounce walls in Orbitus, etc. Episode 1 is rather singular in that it's fairly JJ2 compatbile, though I suppose Episode 6 might work as well.

I was considering undertaking a project like this, but I decided I don't have the attention span necessary.

JelZe did that. Try the download database.

Also, you will find a copy of the first tube electric level (in it's original tileset) when you download "Jazz 1: Tube Electric v2.0". I might do the second level as well.

I may try this, but I will need some help. If anyone wants to do it as well perhaps they can team up with me and some other willing people and try it. But I don't know. If anyone wants me to help, I will probably agree. Either way I dont really care.

I would but I have windows xp which makes DOS really hard to work with. I can't even take screenshots to look back and forth on :(

It's way too hard to make it exactly the same. But it's a nice idea indeed
