Somebody please send it to Labratkid@hotmail.com as the download link is no longer up, and hasn't been for months. This is the only way to get it, and I'd appreciate your help. Thanks.

It's over 5mb. Probably too big for anyone to send this through his or her SMTP server.

I tried sending it, but it got returned due to the file size. Sorry.

Fileplanet only sucks if you don't purchase a personal server for 6 bucks a month. If you do, you download any file instantly at over 400 kb/sec.

That's why I like Fileplanet. I just take out the garbade every week and get 6 dollars allowance a month.

Yea right. For me it may go over 1000MB/sec and I still won't be able to download any faster with a 56K modem :o

Purchase a personal server? I wouldn't pay them a cent. They just don't deserve it because whenever I visit the site they are constantly spamming me with everything (every ad.) they've got. If they think that will make people like me pay then they're wrong. It does the opposite. And the "waiting in line" sucks too and is an addition to that.

Quoted from Fileplanet FAQ:
Why not increase the available connections?
Increasing the number of connections on public servers will not make it any easier to get files -- it just means everyone gets the files a lot slower. In fact, it doesn't even shorten the wait, since everyone in front will take longer to download.

Then why don't they increase the number of connections AS WELL AS the connection speed? Why hasn't anyone thought of THAT?

I hate Fileplanet and the whole gamespy network just because of the annoying advertising and stuff they do to make people pay. It's just easier to get another server when you can begin download in one click. Just stay away from Fileplanet, aaaaaaahhhh!!!

I couldn't find the install file, but I uploaded what I could find to my site:
http://www.foxmage.com/JazzSki.zip (3.5 meg.)

Not meaning to start an argument Overlord, and don't let this come that far, but...

The waiting in line system is very neccessary. You know the site, 3dgamer.com, and how lots of files are hosted there? Well, you may also know that 3/4 of the time you couldn't download because too many people were downloading. If Fileplanet didn't have that system, you'd never get to download files, just like you never can on 3dgamer.com.

On second thought, it might not be 3dgamer.com but it's something.

Anyway, I'm just saying that it's neccasary. I don't even remember how we got into this argument, but I'm not going to waste my time looking back.

[closes argument]

[the argument's result: draw]

[the end]

in relation to the file size problem, i have a solution:

there is a program called FileSplit,, it will allow you to split a file up into chunks (you specify how much), and put them back together again,,

for example, Computer One has a file of 5mb, needed on Computer Two,, use FileSplit, transfer the smaller files over to Computer Two (using diskettes, maybe) and use FileSplit to merge them again,, :D

Edit: i know you may have gotten your stuff already, but hey, just suggesting,, :)

Its a fun game but super hard.

Yeah, very fun, but in the rabbit mode, it's kind of corny, but everything else, especially the cool particle effects in ski mode, and the traces on the snow are neat. I have no idea how that part of the game was made, but everything else is very simple programming.

Okay. I'm not trying to agrue here. I'm just telling you how hard it is for me to download from that website. I would rather not download from it at all but sometimes I am forced to do so because certain files can only be found there. That's why it's better to have many servers with instant downloads rather than one with "waiting in line" system.

Best part of Jazz Ski Rabbit is the platform part of the game

Violet CLM
Jun 3, 2003, 11:33 AM
I wouldn't say that. It uses, as far as I can tell, the standard platform movement, doesn't have the best level design, and is kind of buggy.

The whole game is based on simple programming, it's just supposed to be fun.

Wow this game is cool. Unknown Rabbit, it does use the standard platform movement!

Even if it is simple programming it has made lots of jazzers happy and I suggest that people should use simple programming because its easy and when you finished it (which wont take long depending on the size) you can make jazzers happy again and again and it doesnt take lots of hard programming.
