I'm making a new tileset, how do you guys think it looks so far?

I still need to make it a background (obviously).

Hmmm... it looks good, but the vine rope is kind of ugly, you should have some slopes (in case you don't), and a little extra layer 4 eyecandy never hurt anyone.

Yeah, it looks cool, but the vines and ropes should have a bit more deatil... maybe you can shade them?

Beautiful! *claps*

@Blackraptor: What's so wrong about cartoonish stuff? It's not said that it HAS to look realistic... Jazz is a cartoon character, too :)
But hey, everyone has their own taste.

The ropes look a bit boring indeed, maybe you should draw the windings.
In my opinion, the grass could be a bit more detailed, too.

I'm looking forward to seeing the finished version :)

Wow looks pretty good but the vine is pretty plain as said.

Looks nice. Though, like has been said, a litle detail wouldn't hurt.

Not bad at all so far, from what I can see in the image it needs:

1) Layer 4 Eyecandy
2) Extra Layer Eyecandy (Layers 5, 6, 7 etc.)
3) Layer 8 (You said you're still working on it)
4) Tiling fixes. The ground blocks dont tile properly, some tweaking could fix it, or if you're lazy like me just surround the block with copies of itself (to make a 3x3 tiled area) and press blur, MAGIC!!! THE MIDDLE BLOCK NOW TILES!!! I love that trick ;)

Edit: oooops, I made a new thread instead of posting a reply, fixed now anyways ;)

Now I know what it reminds me of... it looks like something Toxic Bunny might make.

Look really nice, wouldnt have picked that theme, but that's just me. Keep up the good work!

(Yes, more detail would be nice.)

I like the tileset, so I'll take that as a compliment. ;)

Space City. Biolab. Rock on.

I think those were made by Biohazard.

On topic, the really dark shadow thing on one of the floor tiles looks kind of overdone.

Oh, whoops. Sorry, my bad, head screwed on wrong. I do have some of TB's sets though. Coolish.

The tileset looks good, is it finished? The thread is rather old.

You call 10 days "rather old"?

It's old now, though :(

Stijn, you are a corrupt power-abusive hitler-nerd for reviving this topic. Judging by the hour you are probably drunk.

Not really. Found this thread back and upon seeing the screenshot felt regret that this was never released. Does anyone know what happened to it?

I couldn't think of any layer 4 eyecandy and gave up I guess >=

Next time I'm getting something off one of my old harddisks I'll try to find it and maybe someone can try making it pretty if people still care 7 years later.

Finishing that tileset now would make community history in various ways. Please do it.
