I was using Jazz Jackrabbit 2 (version 1.20 I think). I downloaded the upgrade patch for internet play. I also downloaded a server patch from somewhere (it said it would remove some internet play bugs).

I completely removed the game from my pc (including deleting remaining files manually) because I finished playing it. Now I just realised that I can download user made maps so I tryied to install it again but the setup keeps on saying that I have a newer version of Jazz Jazkrabbit 2 on my pc so it can't install it on my pc. It just exits setup then.

I would like to install the game on my pc. So please help.

You didn't uninstall it. You just deleted it. You should somehow find the uninstall.exe and use that.

Nope, I uninstalled it using Add/Remove Programs. BTW I am using Wiin XP. There's no files of Jazz 2 on my pc anymore so...

You know a way to install it no matter what version is on my pc?

Try downloading and using the JJ2 uninstall aid. You can find it, and the instructions over here.

It works now! You da man Newspaz!

I don't know how to thank you!

Anyways, thanks a dozen!

But I don't get it, I uninstalled it using Add/Remove in Windows XP (control panel)... Well anyways, as long as it works!

I guess you figured it out. :P

I guess Add/Remove doesn't delete regedit info.

Actually "Add/Remove" does delete registry keys... just not those added by third-party software, such as the server-list patch. ;)
And because those keys were still present the Jazz Jackrabbit-installer complained about a "newer version".
