Im thiking of making a new JJ2 website with all of the old, newest downloads, patches, etc. Also to have " The best levels " Competition, A huge level archive with levels only submited by fans, its own forum * no free crap * and alot of other Jj2 stuff. Can I get any more ideas for a Jj2 site?

IMO, there is no need for a new JJ2 site right now.

ok, the site would have had a top rate layout and PHp and stuff but since it looks like no noe cares, the project is closed before I even got to start scriptin the polls :(

It's been about 54 minutes since you posted the topic. I suggest you wait a little more, there is probably some interest. Not from me, though...

We don't need another JJ2 site. I mean, look at SillyWabbits.

He wasn't asking if there was a need for a new JJ2 site, he was asking for ideas for a new JJ2 site.

On the other hand, there is no need to ask for ideas for a JJ2 site if there is no need for a JJ2 site.

As for an idea for a new JJ2 site, another downloads archive at this point in time is not a decent incentive to visit a new site. However, I will not let this post go to waste, so I do have an idea in mind for you.

Create a special episode that gets a level addition weekly or bi-weekly. In other words, for the release during the first week, you need to start out with two to three levels. These levels should propel JJ2 fans into a very deep story to begin with. Since the story is ongoing and always incomplete (similar to how a show is "to be continued" on television and receives a new episode the following week), users will be drawn to your site, given that it has enough content otherwise. By "enough content", I mean that you could have detailed parts of the storyline on the website, similar to a fanfiction. If you have some artistic talent, you can create images or even comics pertaining to the story. If need be, you could even recruit other people to help you with something like this. If you can get the content up effectively and advertise it to the community well enough, you have an idea that has been carried out well. Once you get the hang of this, you can do multiple stories per week; either that, or you could have a group of people that do weekly stories, and have forums for discussion.

If you want a good example of a story done through JJ2, download "Another Story", by Stripe, on J2O. I strongly encourage you to do something like this. Either that, or someone might come along and pick up the idea; then you can join whatever group he or she forms, if he or she forms a group of some sort. Rather than having a downloads archive that will probably be in the shadows, you should aim for an original and creative archive of your own levels that will not be overlooked. I am not sure if you like to make your own stories, but this is an idea just being thrown up in the air that you might be interested in. Good luck with whatever you do.

If you asked me, J2O is more than what a fan could ever ask for. No site, except for J2C (Jazz 2 City) could ever come close to living up to it.

lol, there can be a better site then J2O, alot of this php can be done and be done even better, make it look better, and a forum with more options. The only different thing between better and normal * J2O being normal * is j2o only has better history and now after a long long while people arent just going to go and move to a new community site :P

Maybe he doesn't have the appropriate skills or time to do so. It was merely a suggestion.

Most people do not know PHP.

If you want to create a site, you need something less ambiguous than saying you will make "the best PHP layout". You also should try to aim for a unique area that no site is currently in. After all, no one wants a second J2O; it will be shunned. Try an area that either has some sentimental value or is completely new and then chances are the site will survive.

Good luck.
