Ok, i think a while ago, (4-6 months) I downlaoded from J2o (pretty sure) I downloaded a file called JCS TSF. This was supposed to open files that were 1.23 and 1.24. But ever since i downloaded it, my levels keep switching to TSF and no matter what i try it keeps going to TSF. If someone can give me the link to the download so i can find the uninstall file and maybe stop my problems, or i will welcome any advice that any of you may have. Its getting on my nerves!

It sounds like you simply have a copy of the version of JCS that comes with TSF, because it can open 1.23 and 1.24 files but can only save in 1.24. Just get someone to send you 1.23 JCS, or get it off your JJ2 CD. Keep the 1.24 JCS though, just rename it to jcs_tsf.exe or something so that you can tell the difference. (This way you'll still be able to open 1.24 files when you want to)

I re-installed JJ2 from my CD. and it still wont accept it. It says:

Unsupported File Version 2.03, this level cannot be loaded

That error was from my normal JJ2 1.23

When i open up JCS_TSF (from downloaded not all files were there but could run pretty easily) It is ok.

But i realized this morning i couldnt open my level from the normal 1.23.

I thought it had something to do with Direct X. So i re-installed Direct X 9.0a and it didnt help. Then the same thing happened to one of my previous levels my 1st CTF level (Prehostoric.j2l) and it can only be opened by the 1.24 JCS.

So, any hints?

Computer Specs:

Memory: Got alot left
JCS version(s): (original JCS) 1.23, and (downloaded JCS) 1.24
JJ2 Versions: JJ2 1.23 and JJ2 TSF (Downloaded)
going to be killed by anyone on this board for mentioning warez?:yes :P

That probably means that you are trying to open a 1.24 level. Those cannot be opened using the 1.23 JCS. I'm not an expert on JCS, but as far as I know there is no way to convert 1.24 levels back to 1.23 (even if they would be compatible).

no, my levels started out as 1.23 and as soon as i opened them in 1.24 JCS they became TSF.

You shouldn't've opened them in 1.24 JCS.

well? what can i do how?

I have 2 folders;

Jazz2 and Jazz2 TSF

All my 1.23 levels started out in 1.23 (Jazz2)

Then when i downlaoded the JCS TSF which supposedly could open both i started opening my levels into it. They then became invalid in my Jazz2(1.23) folder and i checked my TSF one. They were invalid in both.

So i went back to my 1.23 folder and opened up JCS TSF and thats the only place i can edit my levels and i can only host them on TSF.

But other levels i avoided opening in JCS TSF and they work fine.

OK, i found the problem and fixed it. Here's what went wrong for people to reference this in the future

I downloaded combotools from Overlords site, and it made 2 files, altsf and dtsf. So i guess this was why my files didnt work sorry for the trouble guys ^^'''

Also radium could u post ur email here? I need to send ya another image file 2 host ^^''

If ur too lazy to post here contace me at Sweet_cool_chick_3000@hotmail.com

Edit: I can open my levels normally in JCS now, but i cant select Run program. It just has an hour glass for 1 second then its gone. And My level wont show up in my files list in JJ2 1.23. And i didnt check off hide level in homecooked levels.

This is torture XD

TSF only opens TSF levels, so if it gets a lesser version, it turns them into TSF. If you don't want your levels to be TSF, don't make them into TSF levels!

Ask the wizard of Oz. And for no reason, take your dog, this robot dude, a lion, and a crash-dummy guy made of hay.
