Disguise

I figured I'd post in here quick before I hunt the internet for possible solutions
While doing a hard-drive cleanup I uninstalled McCaffee Firewall (I never had it running anyway, and being on modem with multiple IPs it's not that important either). Funny thing is, as I uninstalled it and tried to connect to the internet again (it asked me to close rograms using the connection yada yada blah blah), it did, but actually started acting like a firewall, more like an invulnerabe firewall.
See, the problem is I can connect fine, but as soon as I am connected it just refuses to do anything with the connection, it blocks out ANYTHING and EVERYTHING. My connection details shows I sent and recieved a total of approx 200 bytes, and those numbers refuse to change no matter what I try to run. Hows that for a great firewall? Full functionality upon uninstallation...
I've tried:
- A good old fashioned restart
- Connecting to different ISPs
- Uninstalling and reinstalling modem
How am I connected now? I love this laptop in my room *pats laptop* :D
Any suggestions are welcome, as until then I can't use my PC for anything net related (and for me thats a lotta stuff)
