Sometimes I have found cool music that fits perfect in a level, but I get this error if i start the level:
------
Fatal Application Error

Jazz Jackrabbit 2 singaled the following internal error:

Fatal Error in fileRead on file ".the music name.", error: Input past end of file.
------

I get it sometimes and it doesn't make difference what type music it is.
Hope yah can help mah.

Make sure you have the music filename set correctly, and that the file exists and is in your JJ2 folder. Also remember that JJ2 can only play module files, with extensions like .mod, .s3m, .it, .xm, or .j2b.

I've checked all, and it's all ok. The two files that do this are Small Town, smlltown.it (found it on MODArchive)(I tried making it .mod, that worked, but it gives the same error) and My Eleventh Year, beek-my_eleventh_year.it (Found it on Back2Roots).

You could open the file in Modplug Tracker, or maybe some other tracker program, then resave the file. That seems to work (at least for the smlltown.it one).

What's the music file size? I have heard that it is possible jj2 runs out of memory when using larger music files.

Filesize can't be the issue here, as I myself also have a copy of Beek's tunes and they're all very-very-tiny (chiptunes... ^-^ wee!).
First try resaving, maybe indeed your copies are corrupt. Next try turning them into .j2b's. I know not everybody likes that format, but it's just for checking.
Or maybe you could post the files somewhere so we can take a peek?
