Any way it could be done? Just found out the monitor goes to 1600x1024.

Er... right click on dektop, go to properties, and press "settings"?
My monitor can do 1600x1200. Pwns your monitor by 281,600 pixels.

--. That's for having windows giving you options. 98SE won't go above, tried a few registry changes of max resolution, but simply changes to the resolution which has it's same y value.

Well, I dunno. My 98SE can do 1600x1024. Yours must be inferior.
I got it. There's a certain way to connect your monitor so it isn't detected properly. Thus enabling "Default Mode" and allowing any resolution that your monitor will support.
