Nimrod-Online.com has continued to support the Jazzing Community over the past months with the deployment of a secondary list server, and we will continue to do so.
Over the past months, there have been attempts to 'DoS' the list server, in an attempt to bring it down. Sadly the person who was attempting to do this, forgot that the Nimrod-Online.com Server is infact, activitly monitored and maintained. The persons IP was reported to there ISP, including complete logs of there attack. There IP has also been banned from accessing the list server (and the server in general).
Recently the List Server has been installed into Windows Server 2003 as a 'System Service'. Meaning all its current status (viewable on port 10055) has been reset. Using this method should allow the List Server to permently remain online and will mean that it should be able to run, even when theres no admins activitly logged in.
I have had a growing number of people contacting myself and the other admins via MSN and Email, asking us to remove games from the server list that are offensive. Sadly Nimrod-Online.com nor Contrabandent.com have no control over the games on the server list, the only way we can delete them is by completly clearing the current games in progress list. We will try our best to maintain it, but please remember the List Server is provided as a free gift to the community and we have to maintain servers of paying customers first.
We will try our best to continue to provide the jazzing community with this list server, and we hope its useful to you :)
Thank you,
Nimrod
