View Full Version : Edit? Or not?

Recently two topics that seem to be anti-Xion were posted, one which had as point "make xion look stupid" and the other which had as topic "put the anit-cion thing" in your sign. Whether(sp?) this was meant to be funny or not, it is quite offending and I would not like it, however I don't know if Xion likes it. Anyway, it makes me wonder when something is considered as a Personal Attack or anything related. Telling someone to shut up gets edited out while topics where users are being humilated can stay open. Isn't this a bit... strange?

I guess it's really up to the moderators what should be edited or not. This is _the_ JCF after all. ;P I also think you should work on your own signatur before complaining about a small image like the anti-xion one.

Yeah, that's why I am posting it here. And I am merely asking what's the difference between "make someone look stupid" and "shut up", anyway.

I don't know about Xion. If he thinks it's offending he should tell it to one of the moderators. I have spoken to him a couple of times. And I think he has the feeling that if he tells it, noone will listen to him.

I also get the idea some people are picking on him. Just open that mouth Xion, you didn't get it for nothing.

I'm honestly surprised that it has not yet been closed. The entire thread is pretty much a mild personal attack. You might consider complaining to Derby or another administrator via PM.

Are you talking about the PSXion or the Anti-Xion one? I personally like the Anti-Xion because it shows that people don't care about my antics against the people that wanna petition me off the board. I find it funny that Derby didn't join Radium. :p

I think we should all leave Xion alone and let him speak for himself. He's not a baby (apparently.)

You really don't get it, this wasn't posted to protect Xion or something! I was wondering why "shut up" is considered more offensive than those topics.

It really did sound like you were trying to protect him, mainly because you made reference to topics relating to him a number of times. Saying things like "I don't think Xion would like it" is basically saying that you are speaking on his behalf.

Sorry, I apologize :( :( :( :(

There is still yet to be an administrator\moderator response here. However, I think the difference is fairly simple.

This is a public message board, so telling someone to "shut up" is denying their right of posting their thoughts - which is the whole point of a message board.

The Anti-Xion and other such topics are (probably) not meant very seriously. And as Xion noted here, he is not really offended by them. If he is in fact offended, he should notify an administrator or moderator and they will act accordingly to close the topic(s).
