How do I tell if I have 1.23 already? Or was the update only released in patch form?

Look in the left bottom corner of the main menu. It should say which version you have.

Unless, of course, you have 1.24. In that case, you'll have to buy 1.23. You can't downgrade to 1.23 from 1.24.

Unless, of course, you have 1.24. In that case, you'll have to buy 1.23. You can't downgrade to 1.23 from 1.24.
The project2 version of TSF(1.24) included 1.23.

I bought Jazz Jackrabbit 2 by GOD Games and got Jazz Jackrabbit 1 Enhanced CD-ROM included. The version was 1.20 (green logo). I downloaded the registered patch and upgraded to versionb 1.23 (yellow logo). I bought Jazz Jackrabbit 2 - The Secret Files (1.24 TSF). I merged the levels in 1.23 to 1.24 TSF and uninstalled 1.23.
