I am hosting one on 1.23. It would be difficult on CC, because not many people have it, and fewer people play it. But feel free to drop by on 1.23. Perhaps you could use Project Controller (available on J2O downloads) to do so.

Does putting the main TSF files in my HH98 directory count as CC?

You get everything except for the menu effects.

Crono5: CC99 does not include TSF and doesn't have anything to do with it (except the fact it has Lori and as a version number 1.24x). I don't understand your question about putting the TSF files into the HH98 directory.
And because i'm getting kinda sick of all those repeating questions, here is a backup copy of my original JMMB thread about CC:

I think there is a lot of useful information on the game, i really recommend all newbies to read it. It also answers your question regarding the menu effects, Crono5.

Aiko, I think what is meaned is that they run the same engines and support eachother's levels. Having them together would work.

He meant meant. And he also meant "each other's", not "eachother's".
And the past participle of 'spell' is 'spelt', not 'spelled'. >(
