View Full Version : This is weird
This is weird! Why is my title "Registered User" while all others are "JCF Members"?
EDIT: It's JCF member now. Weird. It was "Registered User" but when I posted this thread I became "JCF Member" again. Ah never mind.

I think it has to do with registering after the upgrade. Which, in case, shouldn't affect you. However, posting seems to solve it.

What I did was update my email account to a new one. After that I got an email from the JCF telling me to verify if the email is correct. I had to click some kind of activation link and I think it then said "thank you for registering" or something like that. I already was registered.

Lemme see if that changes it. I will change my email account back and forth now.
EDIT- my title is now 'Registered User'. That is correct. Now let me post somewhere. See this screenshot-

EDIT EDIT- And yes! Now I am a JCF member again!
EDIT EDIT EDIT- link unparsing (durn autoparse) and changing 'registered user' to 'JCF member'

I think this may also affect whenever your account goes to an unactivated state. It can only switch back when you post afterwards. Since when you get your password changed, it requires verification, and the name temporarily reverts to "Registered User." However, once you activate and post, it returns to the original. The same happens with verification when you first register.
