Hello. (Stay back, you cannibalistic computer mice of the species known as forumers. I've got RAID.)

Could someone possibly provide me with a complete list(or as complete as one can) of all the previous list servers? I would like to make a back up of all the previous list servers in case the current contrabandent list server is to undergo a downtime; temporarily or permanently. I'm not in favour of placing all of my hopes in the nimrod-online list server, as I've read the recent post on it's potential developments and I have my reasons for wanting to drop my support of it; which I'm not looking forward to disclosing. Anyhow, I have a few list servers on my personal list, but I doubt it's complete. Would someone please provide their list knowledge so I can complete mine? Just a small request. I'm not asking for access to a nuclear warhead...yet.

Yes, I do realize that these old list servers are most likely long gone, but I still have a small, faint hope that they might be revived; despite what my logic tells me to think. =) And I'd also like to have a legitmate reason for not hosting my lame little server if the contrabandent list server is down on the days I like to play. =)
(Blaming the old, dead list servers, that is. < insert the silent evil laughter of a garlic-loving mime here >)

As pointless as this may be to most, I would at least like to have the complete history in my knowledge and obsecenely insignificant moral crusade/protest. For collection's sake at the very least then! :-p

Yours truly, my keyboard.

list.jazzjackrabbit.com
jazz.logicware.com
mail.godgames.com
monolith.idlegames.com

That's all I have.

You are who I think you are, aren't you? Hmm, Chuck would have known that for sure, if he was still here. This uncertainty is all his fault. His fault, I say!

You may want to note that adding all of these to your registry will cause problems. When hosting, JJ2 tries a maximum of two servers randomly from the registry, if the hardcoded ones fail.

Another server might have been thewolf.mofo.co.uk. It used to be hardcoded into my game, but I don't know anything about it (it never worked for me).

the only two that work are:

jazz.nimrod-online.com
jazz.contrabandent.com

most the others have been dead for years

Thank you for the list servers that have been provided so far. I already see that I did miss a couple of them(and most likely major ones. Yay.), as I had suspected originally.

Hmm. I had only intended to replace a single list server at a time since I've only removed the one permanently; most likely since I would bee too lazy to do two edits at once in the registry. The contrabandent list server would have been kept as sort of a controlled variable, I guess one could say, when experimenting with the other list servers from time to time to ensure no computer-illiterate user errors were made and the registry wouldn't magically implode due to a lack of a legitimate, running list server. ...Yea. Err, the actual reason being along the lines of having a sense of security in the knowledge of the fact I am actually connecting somewhere at least instead of actually acknowledging the fact I am sending data into the unknown without hopes of success. How that would work, however, when the contrabandent list server undergoes a downtime, in regards to the experimenting, would be...interesting. Bleh. No security blanket...err "list server"...for me.

But, thanks for the warning. =)

Hmm. I'd say that I am not who you think I am for I think you've deduced who you've thought I am from thoughts of whom I'm not; which made you think of me by what I'm not, which is not me, I think! Ha! (I hope this appears to be more confusing than it appears to be more irreconcilable - which is is.)
Err... Darn it, Dusk. You've got the correct identity. It was the 'Host =(" in the signature, wasn't it? :-p I knew I shouldn't have put that there, but I was hoping no one would have a clue as to where that originated from. Great, now I have to re-register(This most likely shall be frowned upon by the administrators) as 'Username2'. No one will ever identify me then!! Ha! And poor old decomposing-in-a-landfill-somewhere-Chuck would never reveal even the most trivial remnants of information. I gave him extra feed for his silence! (Alright. Time for me to edge away slowly then make a deviously elusive escape...somehow.)

Enjoy that computer mouse. It was a cold-blooded killer trained in forum-land. Especially if it was optical!

Hmm. Any other list servers that anyone can recall? Hopefully I can compile a thorough list.
