Jazz Jackrabbit available on GOG

It’s hardly a surprise after yesterday’s teaser tweets, but it’s exciting all the same: the Jazz Jackrabbit games are once again available for sale, digitally at GOG!

The package deal includes both the main games and the expansions The Secret Files and Christmas Chronicles, so chances are that there’s something new in there for you even if you’ve had the original game for years.

Additionally, The Secret Files is bundled with JJ2+, so there’s no need to install the patch manually – just choose the “Jazz Jackrabbit 2 with JJ2+” option under Game Goodies to install a plus-enabled version of the game.

As a final bit of good news, GOG has generously given us some game codes to raffle among the community’s members. So if you want to have these shiny new versions of Jazz Jackrabbit 1, Jazz Jackrabbit 2, and Epic Pinball, simply leave a comment and we’ll (randomly!) choose five lucky winners in two days from now. Or, if you can’t wait, use the links above to buy the games right now!

(The raffle has now ended. Stay tuned for more GOG news to come.)

Been waiting for something like this to happen for so long! Hopefully they will sell enough to warrant a Jazz 3 :D

Slaz on 30 Nov 2017 at 14:29

Good to see it finally happen, after a lot of conspiracy within the big companies, lol.

CryptKiller on 30 Nov 2017 at 14:44

Ohh, great news. So happy to finally see this avaiable. Many thanks to the JJ2 community for keeping up the faith, and making the excellent JJ2+, hope this will mean more new levels and people rediscovering this total classic. Cheers!

Vegito on 30 Nov 2017 at 16:27

Very nice :-)

Stijn on 30 Nov 2017 at 16:35

Texafornian: if you buy the “Jazz Jackrabbit 2 Collection”, which is now for sale on GOG, you get two separate games in your library: The Secret Files and Christmas Chronicles. JJ2+ can then be installed via the TSF page.

Congratulations to jazz jackrabbit gog.com petition maker from change.org I’m so happy and excited we won this petition.

P4R4D0X on 30 Nov 2017 at 16:47

Finally Epic Games decided to release these games on GOG. We can now obtain legal digital copies.

dan2091 on 30 Nov 2017 at 16:50

Just in time for Christmas! :)

Storm934 on 30 Nov 2017 at 17:04

No need for code, already bought! Just happy that everyone else is happy!

So now, when anyone ever asks where to get the games, just point them to GoG!

PT32 on 30 Nov 2017 at 17:35

This made my freaking day. And it’s been a pretty good day.

rionaam on 30 Nov 2017 at 17:37

This is incredible. I honestly thought this wouldn’t happen at this point. Bought them instantly, of course. Going to play the Christmas episodes on December 24th, as I’ve been doing during the last few years.

Also, it’s weird to log in here after so many years. Massive respect to all of you for keeping the community alive all this time.

KJAZZ on 30 Nov 2017 at 23:22

Glad to see this has finally happened. Was thinking about the game just the other day.

Mike_1990 on 30 Nov 2017 at 23:59

Oh my god, can’t believe they actually did it. I even reviewed Jazz on my website recently sayin what a pity it is that we never had single digital re-release. Good work to everybody here for not letting these games die for 20 years and keeping the content coming. Hopefully we will see renewed interest in the series and who knows, maybe it’s gonna continue one day. Also good work with new website look, it’s beautiful.

Bartjaah on 1 Dec 2017 at 00:21

I hope this brings new life to Jazz Jackrabbit, it enlarges the community and might wake up Epic to do something new with Jazz Jackrabbit we all have been waiting for for almost two decades :)

I’d love to see the GoG versions of Jazz and Epic Pinball :)

Darkhog on 1 Dec 2017 at 01:53

I’m very happy to finally be able to pay for games I love. If you randomly chose me, choose again as I want to pay for JJ1 to support Epic’s move.

Bobby aka Dizzy on 1 Dec 2017 at 03:35

I’m so excited to see JJ2 rereleased! And even better to make it easy by bundling JJ2+!

SAMI on 1 Dec 2017 at 09:27

AvalancheMaster on 1 Dec 2017 at 11:11

It only took 15 years to re-release this classic. I will definitely buy the game for myself, but if I am randomly chosen, I know one very happy nephew-in-law who will enjoy the hell out of it.

Or at least his mother will.

szezjo on 1 Dec 2017 at 13:33

Oh my, game of my childhood. Unfortunately, I never had it original and I didn’t play it for many years because retail versions are too expensive for my small wallet. It’s a shame I spent my money for mangas… so if I would win this copy I would be very happy… if I won’t, well, I guess I will wait for some sale :c

djazz on 1 Dec 2017 at 16:39

Saw this and bought it instantly. FINALLY, A DIGITAL RELEASE! Great job!

Syntax on 1 Dec 2017 at 17:00

Also bought this immediately, happy to support a digital version that was long overdue!

Matan2001 on 1 Dec 2017 at 17:34

Finally, after so many years! This is a great announcement.
Honestly, didn’t think we would ever see the day :D

ShakerNL on 1 Dec 2017 at 19:56

Woohoo!

Sakudoshi on 2 Dec 2017 at 00:11

I’m happy they finally released Jazz Jackrabbit again :D Especially the first one, since I hadn’t play it yet. Gotta get it on Christmas

Unsearchably on 2 Dec 2017 at 08:53

When I saw the e-mail from GOG I couldn’t believe it :D

xFluing on 2 Dec 2017 at 10:11

I’ve been waiting for a jazz jackrabbit copy since i was a kid, I’m glad they are selling it on gog now.

bonz on 2 Dec 2017 at 11:44

It’s great to see old games available again in legal ways.

max333 on 2 Dec 2017 at 14:10

Jazz Jackrabbit 2 is the best! Alexander Brandon’s music has no parallel.

Stijn on 2 Dec 2017 at 14:36

Aaand results are in! Congratulations to Robo4900, rionaam, Bartjaah, nukkus and Obi1mcd – you’ve won the Epic bundle and will receive an e-mail and PM with further instructions soon.

vBrute on 3 Dec 2017 at 08:11

good news everyone :)

FSHero on 4 Dec 2017 at 15:30

This is superb news; though I have not interacted with the community nor played JJ2 since 2012 when I graduated from university, this may be the spur for me to revisit this classic. I’m sure there will be many others in my situation too!

G@vie on 11 Dec 2017 at 15:45

It’s incredible to think that for the first time since the eary 2000’s, people can buy this game again, new. Fantastic news! Bought it immediately

Ja22 on 17 Mar 2018 at 18:08

Finally, I have a chance to get these games legally after many years. It’s a step that they should have done waay before.
