Jazz 2 Level Creators
Jazz 2 Level Creators (usually called J2LC) is a level group for Jazz Jackrabbit 2 started in 1998 by FQuist, around the same time as other ancient level groups like ELM and Mystic Legends. The level group (which also produced tilesets) had several bursts of activity, though has often been quite inactive.
Some very well-known level/tileset creators in the community have at one time been member of J2LC, like Martin, Disguise, Syntax, EvilMike and ShadowGPW. Most of these joined after an invitation by e-mail, which was simply distributed to several people with high ratings in the Jazz2City downloads section. The group has attempted to make several packs, of which only three were released. A huge planned episode called ETR never saw the light, although a demo was released. Despite this lack of releases (which encouraged the creation of OLC by Evilmike), the level group was known as one of the biggest and most active around in the community, its members having released many levels, tilesets and episodes individually.
Currently the level group is pretty much inactive, last having released a level pack containing just two levels at the beginning of 2005.
