View Full Version : Your highscore (WITHOUT cheats)...?

Raven aka StL

Yeah tell your best from the start till the end of the game highscore (WITHOUT }> using cheats while playing...)

Thank you! :O

Raven aka StL

Oh! and mine is 250486 I think... :r

DoubleGJ

It's possible to get as big highscore as you want by constantly roasting the spawning bees in Diamondus.

Ðx
Feb 17, 2005, 04:54 AM
LOL, then you can limited!

LittleFreak
Feb 17, 2005, 05:31 AM
1056550. :P

I've bet you by far Emperor. :P

I'd consider shooting the respawning bees as cheating, btw.

Raven aka StL
Feb 17, 2005, 06:05 AM
That is included in the cheating...

now...

what'cha Highscore WITHOUT any cheating...?

DoubleGJ
Feb 17, 2005, 06:29 AM
Why would that be considered as cheating? I often find myself fighting a few bees from the same respawn point because I'm not the speedrun type of player.

What if there's a begginer player who thinks they will stop respawning sonner or later? Is he cheating?

And besides, actual cheats don't increase highscore. They can even decrease it, as they're supposed to let player skip certain things.

Raven aka StL
Feb 17, 2005, 06:43 AM
Could you stop trying to be a "know-it-all" in things and answer the ideal question instead of trying to circle the meaning by some useless propakanda...

C'mon what is your record without cheats or shooting about over 5 enemies from the same "generator" on purpose... 'cause' I know you are not a (beginner) that of which you spoke of just now...

DoubleGJ

Could you stop trying to be a "know-it-all" in things and answer the ideal question instead of trying to circle the meaning by some useless propakanda...
I don't. I'm just trying to straigthen a few things before I actually attemp to play Jazz2 again and check my highscore to post. And as for straigthening...
Oh! and mine is 250486 I think... :r
I guess this is a speculation indeed, as it ends with 6. Which makes me think, why don't you go and check what it is for real?

LittleFreak
Feb 17, 2005, 08:19 AM
@ JSZ: Of course it's NOT cheating if you shoot bees to get rid of them. Standing and holding down the shooting button to hit a bee as soon as it comes out for hours to get lots of points I consider as cheating.

@ Emperor: That was my highscore without cheating. I usually don't cheat.

And yes, you should check your score because it ending with 6 can't be possible at all.

@ Dx: What about yours?

cooba

Out of curiousity, would you consider JJLIGHT a cheat?
I used it once or twice when it got too dark in the game (my eyes aren't too good)... but my score is pathetic compared to everybody else's...

Apparently I haven't played through it since I last installed the game.

1073250 is my highest. dont remember if I cheated or not or even if this was the original campaign or not. If not then the next few are 600 000< so chances are its then one of those.

JJLIGHT isn't really a cheat... it has the same effect as simply selecting "Turn off ambient lighting" in the graphics options.
And.. I'm not much of a highscorer, either. ^^;

White Rabbit

307100!!! :p That's from TSF and I played the TSF episode before all the other episodes. Or it could be from a custom episode like RHG, TR or TLW. It's been a long time since I played singleplayer so I honestly can't remember. To get astronomical scores like LittleFreak's (btw, ever considered joining TF? ;)) you would have to kill a lot of respawning enemies and that would take such a long time.

Enigma
Feb 20, 2005, 06:36 AM
1057600. Whee argh.

WR: it's not really necessary to kill spawning enemies loads of times. More important is emptying your gun so you can pick up every single bit of ammo in the levels. And picking up every item and slaying every enemy you see of course.

DoubleGJ
Feb 20, 2005, 06:42 AM
This also means getting hurt for the sake of carrots. And there's like lots of fun with turtle shells before you get Toaster, because burning shells or bumping them into each other is the only way to have some goodie appearing out of 'em.

Maybe if I could play online. I can't sadly. :(

...you would have to kill a lot of respawning enemies and that would take such a long time.

Actually not.

1. Play with 1.20. That way you can collect everything you want, without having to get hurt or something.
2. Know all the secrets. :P (I know most of them).
3. Collect everything you can.

It worx that way. :)

Just in case you did not notice, I've added a review, so it gets out of that review ideas list. :)

Note: This post is useless. I don't care. Still it's useless, but if you're going to tell me it's useless note that I know it's useless and I like to use the word "useless" for no reason.

EDIT: Still, it's probably not 100% useless, as one member found it useful. Hehe. ;D

Nice level... I just finished it in 28 min's...
(there was a little glitch... I got stuck and went down all the way and ended up in a corridor close to the goal... this "stuck" place was soon after the message
"Crud! I can hardly see nothing here!" or something like that...

Still... Very nice level and a cool tileset...
Which brings me to... could I have that tileset or would that spoil something...
Please don't take this as any type of insult... nor dissapointment...
I'd really BIG TIME appreciate having it...

That was actually an illusion. Fawriel made it look like that with an event called 'Trigger Zone'.

Which JCS do you have? (it's only available in 1.23 and 1.24)

Which JCS do you have? (it's only available in 1.23 and 1.24)The only JCS around here which doesn't have trigger zone is JCS of JJ2 1.00 (BETA 2), and I doubt he would be using that.

White Rabbit

Bottom left, in the white, transparent bar where it says Main Menu.

Or, you could use a hex editor and search for '1.23' or '1.24' (depending on which version you think you have).

You just need to have good memory, spot patterns and make sure you go to ALL of the exit points. You need to go right first, for the crate, and then left. It could be useful, however, to find the right tube combination for the left side.

But anyway, it's easy to get over 1 million with Spaz. For example, you can get to Jazz's start position in Carrotus even after you have gotten everything at Spaz's place...hehehehe *evil laughter*

The only time I cheated in Tomb Rabbit was at that sucker tube maze in Temple 4.

Blackraptor
Mar 24, 2005, 01:00 AM
I meant the sucker maze =P. I had to cheat a lot of times in the game overall tho cause it was like impossible without dying and I hate dying O.o. Plus lots of parts got me trapped/stuck in a wall (stupid spikes).

LittleFreak
Mar 24, 2005, 01:05 AM
I thought you meant Temple 3. :P

Anyways, the parts where it seems you have to get hurt because there's no way around usually have some little secret areas where you can just go around those obstacles. :P

Mar 24, 2005, 06:55 AM
The sucker tube maze is one of my favorite parts in TR, even if it's mostly a guessing game.

I suppose I should join that cheaters club since I use Save whenever I get the chance so that I don't have to repeat an entire level whenever I die. I also cheated through most of RHG (with cheats like Sugar Rush and God Mode) because I didn't have the patience to play through all of those levels, especially since most of them used the default tilesets. I'm horrendous at SP.

DoubleGJ
Mar 24, 2005, 07:21 AM
I wouldn't consider saving as cheating. But maybe that's because I use it a lot, too.

LittleFreak

I do hardly use saving actually.

Most JJ2 levels are too easy anyways, so it's not worth it.

White Rabbit
Mar 24, 2005, 07:54 AM
I only cheated in The Fortress simply because OL had learnt a lot of nasty tricks since RHG and seemed bent on 'follow the white rabbit and then kill him'.
