I thought bats hated flash, they certainly don't like having their photos taken...

...it's sad that this topic has only gotten that one, lousy reply.

I would've commented myself, but... I can't see them...

Do not get one person's cynicism get you down, Batty Buddy. You posted some nice art. You may definitely do so more often!

Thanks, FQuest. I'm really sorry about posting those inappropriate pictures. Usually, I try to keep them seperate from my other stuff.

I was not being cynical! I was posting a perfectly honest comment and I don't see what the big deal is.

The fact my Mario Doodle thread got way more attention than most of my Jazz art threads in little more than a day pretty much proves what you said wrong.

Hmmm, you've got a good point there I suppose. What exactly *is* it this forum likes in an art submission anyway?

Female dinosaurs in swimsuits. Don't deny it.

Anyway, nice work overall, Batty. You seem to be getting this Flash thing down. However, the thing you need to work on now is the application of animation theory itself. What version of Flash are you using? If it's anything above 5, don't forget that you have the "ease in" and "ease out" sliders in Tween motion. If you have 5, try using several slower tweens near the end of the movement or manually keyframing it in places to accelerate/deaccelerate. A trademark of beiginner flash animation is the very rigid tweening, where things are either moving at a constant speed or stopped. Little details like eased motion and moving things back before they move forward can add a lot of "life" to animation.

I tried doing a similar cloud movement with eased motion and treating it more like an alive character:

I got the latest- Version 8. I'll look into that ease in/out thing for my next thing I'm trying. It's a Wonder Project J movie. Also, thanks- you're cloud animation is a good example.
