I made this new patch for Jazz 2 today while I was bored. Basically what it does is fixes jj2 so that music no longer restarts when you get roasted. Instead it plays on normally... something that has annoyed me for ages. If you like listening to music, but cant because you keep getting roasted then here is your solution.

Enjoy.

I agree wholeheartedly.

Didn't Ryder die or something? :/ (I always confuse Jam and jamster.. grr)

Anyway, yeah, It's quite different from before, being and avid "die'r" but it's great. Great.

Oh, I found a little glitch!
When you die while playing a boss, the music doesn't reset back to game default when respawning at a check-point somewhere in the level.

OMG! I never thought about the "Activate Boss" event where the music changes.

Before I download it, is it revertable? The music restart actually has a potential, with the fact that it replays from second pattern and not first.

DoubleGJ: The patch creates a backup of the "jazz2.exe" file, so you can change it back.

And you get to use subsongs so you can put in an entirely different song to play when you die. :P

You still play single player? :O Well I haven't given SP much thought. This patch was primarily meant for multiplayer games where you die a lot. If you ask me, I'd say the patch does exactly what its supposed to do... it does prevent the music from stopping (let that be when you die at boss).

EDIT1: Okay I have given it some thought. I might be able to fix that problem.
EDIT2: I think this can be fixed, gimme some time. I was in a hurry when I released the first patch. ^^
EDIT3: The fix is ready although I'll do some more testing before I upload it.
EDIT4: Testing 100% done. Patches have been reuploaded. Please test them again.

Take your time, and yes, I sometimes play SP. I don't play online though...

Okay I have reuploaded the patches with the boss fix. They should properly reset the music when a player dies fighting a boss. Please note that you must not use these over the previous patch. If you have patched your jj2 with the previous patch then you must undo the changes before using this new patch. There should be a file named Jazz2.bak in your jj2 folder created by the patcher. Delete Jazz2.exe and rename the backup file Jazz2.bak to Jazz2.exe and then apply this patch.

If you are going to use 1.23+, this is already included - so don't patch it again :) And uh, still - full credit to Overlord for that
