Hi. I was just wondering weather beta version 1.10g is free to download since it's the oldest version or if I have to buy it. If it's free can somebody plz give me a link. Thanks!:r

There's no 1.10g. There's a 1.00g, and 1.10o.

And no, they're not free to download.

The only thing they cost to download is your moral obligations! Are willing to brutally hurt your conscience?

What n00b said is that they're free to download, if you can find them, aside from the detail of it being totally illegal to do so. However! You might be able to find one on ebay, as I've seen 1.00h there a couple times.

Dermo
Jun 7, 2007, 01:26 PM
you can download 1.00g and 1.10h if you bought a copy of 1.21 i believe. It's kind of like a Sega emulator type thing. You can download the ROMs only if you own the respective cartridges, otherwise you have 48 hours to delete them off of your PC.

>O lol it's
1.00g 1.00h 1.10o

Sigh.

As for downloading and buying: all JJ2 versions are not legally available for download. 1.00g and 1.00h are sometimes offered on ebay though. 1.10o is extremely rare and you'll only get it if you find a person who has it and wants to send it (is still illegal afaik). 1.20-1.23 are available in *some* shops and possibly on ebay.

n00b
Jun 7, 2007, 02:02 PM
No you can only download 1.21 because you have the license, but that license only allows one install per computer. So if you lost the disc and never installed it, then it's ok but only if it's 1.21

<Have no clue what I'm talking about, please let it be right>

Woops. I already downloaded it. Mainly I just wanted to see if I could get LEV files to open up in JCS by renaming the exstention. Didn't work. Is there no way to open LEV files? It's weird going to the end of Medivo and there's no boss. I'll probubly end up deleting it soon.
PS: I own 1.21

Glad to hear it and Unknown you CAN download sega roms if you own the cartridges.

In Fact here's evidence:

DISCLAIMER:
You may only download these genesis ROMS if you own the respective official cartridges. You may only download these genesis ROMS if you own the respective official cartridges.
If you don't, you must delete them in 48 hours (or less).

EDIT: I can't give the website that i obtained that from out because of "Warez" but there you have it.

OMG IF IT'S ON THE ENTERNETS IT HAS TO BE TRUU!

It's a myth dude, you can't legally own roms with the exception for backup purposes, and even then you have to make the backups yourself.

And there is no 48 trial period, that is also bullspit.

There is with the MP3's with that weird protection on them. You have like 30 days to preview them and then you need to pay for them. It's with the Microsoft Zune.

Jerrythabest
Jun 7, 2007, 11:31 PM
What does all this stuff has to do with JJ2 OEM versions?

And you CAN open .lev files with a program called MLLE (Multi Layer Level Editor) but no-one knows if there is still anyone who has it. At least, in the whole community no-one has MLLE.

That's a different matter entirely. With the MP3's, you're explicitly given permission by the copyright holder to preview them for 30 days. It's a bit like old shareware programs.

With non-free ROMs of any kind, you've not been given that permission.

Ya but I want to see if there's any special events (like tweedle working) in the beta version.

n00b
Jun 9, 2007, 03:29 PM
If Tweedle worked in a Beta, why would he not work in the final version?
The reason why Bolly doesn't work in Beta versions is because they did not program him yet due to more time spent on multiplayer coding.

sonicnathan 1

sonicnathan 1

There's a program called Hex editor that's hard to use. If used properly were able to put lots of different things in levels. And spingcord doesn't work for all of you that doesn't know. But it's cool to see. It turns out it was eather a bungy cord of one of those things that grab you like in Sonic and knuckles Mushroom hill zone. sigh. I really wish we had the source code right now.

Um in beta there is no activate boss. The bosses activate when you get such and such far in a level.

Couldn't we just ask the programmers if tweedle was programmed or not?

sonicnathan 1

Be my guest. I really don;'t want to do it. And while you at it ask why tweedle was cut from the final game and ask if there's a working copy of the MLLE. Also ask if there's anything else that's half programed.

I like the way that all of Unknown Rabbit's replies contain links and no actual help. It shows how helpful the search button is.

I like the way how an index in the back of a book contains no information. It's so unhelpful! Ugh having to actually click a link(in the case you mentioned)/flip to a certain page(in my example) where the information is in it's full unedited quality instead of some regurgitated dump?

The point of this post is, I'm not getting what you're being sarcastic about. It's like saying "Oh yes, this ice cream is sooo good" in a sarcastic tone when it's the best (-) ice cream you've ever tasted. Just doesn't work, y'see.

Also in pre-counter in case you pull a "It's not really sarcasm, jk u guyz! jk!!" (or "Chiste! Chiste" for those who habla espanol): I'm dreadfully sorry man. The end.

Violet CLM
Jun 17, 2007, 11:45 AM
To be fair, I'm not really trying to be an index, so much as to suggest that other people can use the index <i>themselves</i>. Obviously I don't have the links to every single thread or article memorized, but I CAN use search tools and Ctrl+F, and I'm trying to suggest that other people could do this too if they chose to. Other forums I visit are a LOT less permissive of duplicate topics/questions, and it's not really a bad habit to pick up.

But oh well, I were just repeating it because he asked to send TSF again...

IMHO this thread doesn't really need to stay open... the Beta versions are explained and now it's turning into a "get me this version!"-thread. The discussion about removed/unfinished events can continue on the Springcord thread. So just put a lock on this ;)
