Divide By Zero Error?

I was just playing level one of FSP: Rent Collection, and when I got the Lightning Shield on the lower-right path, this happened:
Jazz Jackrabbit 2 has performed a Divide by Zero at address 0047637Ch.

Does anyone know why that happened or how to avoid it?

Shields just give errors occasionally. AFAIK it's pretty random.
