While 2015 is still not quite over yet, with 2016 being not very far on the horizon, it's time to recall some of the cool releases that have surfaced since the start of the year! Despite being a fairly quiet year overall, there have still been enough noteworthy uploads to warrant their recognition by the community at large.

Here are the categories that you can make nominations for:

Best Battle Level
Best CTF Level
Best Other MP Level
Best SP Release
Best Tileset
Best Remix
Best Level Script
Best Mutator
Best JCSer
Most Improved JCSer

Feel to nominate as much or as little as you like; anything is game as long as it was released in 2015. You may nominate your own uploads if you so wish. The nomination period will last until the beginning of 2016, in which this thread will be followed by the voting thread.

Edit: I'm adding this here for better visibility: here (http://www.jazz2online.com/downloads/lists/119/2015-uploads/) is a list of everything uploaded to J2O in 2015. ~Stijn

The best single player level: Far Out Finished! (http://www.jazz2online.com/downloads/7593/far-out-finished/)

Also, I personally think no award show would be complete without a worst category. Should we have a worst category as well? It's just a suggestion.

A "worst [whatever]" category would not be nice at all to whoever is nominated, I don't think that's a good idea.

Here's something useful: a list (http://www.jazz2online.com/downloads/lists/119/2015-uploads/) of all files uploaded to J2O in 2015.

But it is possible to learn from negative feedback to do better in the future though. I see your point though.

Not being nominated for anything is also a motivation to make good stuff :D. No need to be branded the 'worst of', which will only have a negative effect on one's motivation and mood.

2015 is not over yet, I have at least 4 days to build something from scratch. A test, of course ...

Another thing to consider is that running a "worst of" award could potentially open up a can of worms whereby people intentionally make the worst level possible so they can snag the award. Making a bad level does not require much effort. On the contrary, it will always take talent to create something good, so the time and effort that went into producing new content should be rewarded.

Can't argue with that! :D

Oh of course, that's a good point, how come I didn't think of that?

Yeah, I'm now convinced it was a bad idea.

Looks like everything I liked has already been nominated.

Hmm, maybe add Holiday Hare '15 (http://www.jazz2online.com/downloads/7605/holiday-hare-15/) to Single Player? It was kind of fun as a holiday treat, but doesn't beat The Antidote concerning best old-school SP.

Speaking of which I wanna play it, but I'm not sure if it's even possible anymore to get The Secret Files legally. I can't find it on Amazon.

You no longer need TSF to play levels made with TSF JCS. The latest version of JJ2+ allows 1.23 to load both levels and tilesets made for TSF.

Really? That's great.

But I still can't play as Lori, can I?

Nope. But that episode is terrible to play as Lori anyway. I have yet to review HH95 but just know that you aren't missing out.

Nope. However, the good news is that aside from a few tests, no levels (that I'm aware of) require you to play as Lori.

Yes please. This a reminder to everyone that you have 24 hours left from the time of posting in order to make any further nominations. After that, the voting thread will go up shortly afterward.

I guess I can allow a bit more time if people haven't had the chance to check stuff out yet.

On a related note, I will be hosting levels from 2015 on a fairly regular basis over the next week or two. This will give people the opportunity to try out multiplayer levels created over the course past year in an actual multiplayer context. Check the server list and feel free to drop by if you want to playtest something, have a friendly discussion about the awards or just chat!

You may login with the pass jcsawards2k15. This privilege does not entitle you to be power abusive, however. I will not hesitate to ban anyone who attempts to disrupt the server in any way.

I've updated Disarrayed Memories just now. Hopefully players will stop thinking their game is bugged now thanks to the changes; http://www.jazz2online.com/downloads/7515/disarrayed-memories-v25/

Well, I never thought it was bugged. Otherwise I wouldn't have nominated it for the awards.

Anyway, the times for voting are ended. Now it's time to see the results of the JCS awards 2015!

Nah, people didn't think the level was bugged, they just thought their JJ2 was bugged initially. It saves a lot time to add intuitive indicators rather than explaining over and over.

The voting thread will go up fairy soon, most likely some time this weekend. However, you are still able to provide further nominations here even once the voting thread has been posted. If there is something that you believe has been unfairly excluded, feel free to say so in this thread.

EDIT: The voting thread is up (http://www.jazz2online.com/jcf/showthread.php?p=488986).

However, I will reiterate that you may still continue to make nominations if there something not listed in that thread that you think should be added.
