Que Passa!!!!

This was a little game I used to play a while back. You see, when I was young, I had a cork wall right next to my bed, and (usually while my mom read stories) I would look at the cork and imagine that the random patterns were actually pictures of the scenes in the story. I also had several patches of cork on my wall that I thought looked like animals, so one day, I took a big blank notepad and started doodling the creatures as I saw them...

(then one day, my mom had the nerve to PAINT MY WALL PURPLE, and creatures left undescovered were forever lost.)

These are recreations of the ones I actually drew.

Also, here is what I can remember about them. Keep in mind, they were created by a 4-6 year old mind, so don't look for any real biological reasoning in their descriptions.:

Cyderbaas:
This creature is also known as the Druidbird, due to it's robe-like skin, and bird-like appearance. In fact, it has 6 paws- two on the tips of each wing, and two more directly under its head. They are attracted to ribbons and shiny objects(Tinsel is a prized item among them) and they are the only creatures still bound by devine intervention(AKA, they are actually protected directly by God... or whoever is actually running the universe. Hurt a Cyderbaas, even by accedent, and you might as well kiss your butt goodbye... If you even have enough time to do so.)-On a side note, the Cyderbaas is the only one of these animals that I still draw on a regular basis.

Grunca:
The Grunca is a small bipedal animal with a ravinous appitite for dead treewood. They use their clawed feet to scale a petrified tree, eating away at it as they go. If the tree happens to give way while their eating it, thats what those small wings are for.

Flooptishoop:
A very tiny creature, the Flooptishoop is perfectly hidden among any variaty of flower. It is normally a ghostly white color, but can blend into flaura much like a chemeleon(sp?).

Wheeno:
The wheeno looks like some kind of sabortoothed leech. As you might imagine, its about as terrifying a site as a coloney of bullet ants. The three feelers on its head are used to communicate with other Wheenos, and also to smell pray.

Byjo:
(I actually read this once) Before the modern idea of what a vampire looks like was invented, they were thought to be mearly a giant stomache with a single fang. In fact, those that people thought were vampires were actually Byjos... Yes, I know that it doesn't look all that much like a stomache, but keep in mind people actually thought that some ugly bloated walrus-like creatures were beautiful women with fishtails.(Not that I hate manatees, but you gotta admit, they dont look ANYTHING like mermaids)

Taque:
A small creature with odd fuzzy wings... I'm not sure what else there is to say about them... Oh yeah- they eat dandelions.

Plange:
A very strange creature with a marsupial-like pouch, and a head that looks like Audry II from Little Shop of Horrors. As you can guess, they eat Taques. They also are extreamly facinated in small shards of glass... Needless to say, you don't want to stumble into a Plange nest...

You have talent and a nice, healthy imagination. :)

Although, I think the image in your signature is a tad too long.

Yow. Now THERE'S creativity. Your wild characters never fail to amaze me, Batty.

Why does the Flooptishoop remind me a bit of Louie? Inspiration?

The Wheeno just looks plain goofy. Sabre-toothed slug. Excellent. :-)

I think it's the fact that both are round, small, cute, innocent-looking, and silent.

(Actually, Louie was inspired by:
An actual yellow garden spider,
The Universal "Have-A-Nice-Day" face,
and, of course, Wile E. Coyote... Although, I think the Flooptishoop predates my actual characters.
Edit: And in case your wondering, Sue was inspired by Ladybug, from Cricket magazine, Ms. Piggy, Me, and Popeye.)

That Wheeno reminds me of a Wormouth. It's adorably strange-looking.

And that Grunca looks like... something. I vaguely remember something like that from somewhere. I think it's the ears.

Actually, the Grunca ORIGIONALLY looked like a flesh-and-blood version of those Mouser robots from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles... But time changes your styles, you know.
