TNT generally does not give the server game over. I believe only hurt events can do that.

TNT is ultimately useless in all gametypes except for CTF, where it barely qualifies as a weapon. TNT DOES kill players in CTF mode, if you hit them 3 times. Ignore the fact that your health won't change.
