Some clarification please:
a) There was actually more than one quiz on J2S. Do you mean the one in July 1999 or the one in August 1998?
b) I tried the setup in question 6, and unfortunately nothing extraordinary happened. I only went up about 2 tiles above the one ways (as expected). Maybe do some ASCII art or a screenshot of the exact setup.
