I scowled, or I thought I did. My fingers were slightly singed, but maybe that'd wear off.

"So where are we going to now?" I asked. I still hadn't figured out how I could do anything, considering I was nothing but dry bones.

"I dunno," Kaz said, turning to Tobias (I'M not cutting him out). Tobias sighed and headed for the controls.

"Why is it always me who gets everything done here?" he grumbled. Kovu emitted something very akin to stifled laughter. I eyed him suspiciously, and tried not to say anything.

"Kaz, your feathers are smoking," Ducky observed. Kaz gulped.

'T-they are?"

"Yes."
