Que Passa!!!!

I'm a bit reluctant to ask this, but I feel I really must:

What about those of us who just like to draw cartoons?!?

True, I draw what I like to call "Talking animal" strips(I myself don't see why I should call them furry, when talking animals works just fine), but I also draw humans, robots, monsters, gargoyals, plants, flowers, aliens- heck, I could probably make a decent cartoon character out of any random nicknack you could find on the ground.
And yet, I DO do realistic stuff: especially for fantasy's and dream sequances(I like to make the stuff that is not real look more realistic then the stuff that is. It's kind of like the majority of my childhood life.) However, I can't crank out realistic stuff in the middle of babysitting my cousins. I can't crank out realistic stuff in the moment that I have to take something hurtful that happened to me and put a funny spin on it. I can't crank out realistic stuff in the 5 minuites time I have before dinner. And in reality, I do not see drawing realistically as being very practical for an autistic such as myself to be doing when I can't keep my attention conscentrated long enough to do anything other then sketches.
I have a painting in my basement that I did in grade school of a still life boque of flowers with a stuffed bunny nearby. It's about the same quality as most of the realistic artists here. I never show it off, you know why: because, while it IS something I'm proud of, it isn't something I really enjoyed doing at the time.
I never really wanted to be like any of the stuff I draw. Quite the contrary: the stuff I draw reflects the way I feel like I am. At times, my life resembles a slapstick comic strip. However, I often go through life noticing what hypocrites and bigots people are in this so-called enlightened sociaty. I have to tell some people, yet everyone is so stuck up that they would probably kick my butt, all the while yelling at me to accept the status quo. The main reason I've always wanted to draw comics was to make a medium that was easier to digest, and the fact that I draw animals is because... It's always funnier when it happens to an animal since they are considered incapable of such opinions.
What I'm saying is: what about the guy who just wants to have fun and convey a message through art? Isn't that what it's all about anyway- It's not about how good you are, what techniques you use, or what subject matterial you have! It's not even about IMPROVMENT, unless the artist want's it to be.
