A HyperSpace Wake:

According to Einstein's theory, it is impossible to excell speeds faster than the

speed of light. However, with a dimensional

jump into a field known as 'HyperSpace'

we can reach speeds many times the speed

of light, with little or no time dialation.

This maneuvar can not be performed near any

objects, for the HyperSpace 'wormhole' would

suck in things as large as a star, if it's

close enough. Any object within a ten mile radius of a HyperSpacing ship will be caught

in the HyperSpace 'wake', a vortex of energy

created by the velocity of the HyperSpacing

object. This has been used in the past as

a method of 'stowawaying' on larger vessels by non-HyperSpace capable starcraft.
