Chapter One. (1)



It all started out as a normal day while Copper was waiting for Me to pay a call. She had asked Me to make her face out of rock. (For this to be understood, it must also be understood that Me is a stone mason.) Just then, the door burst open and Eva Earlong burst through the doorway in tears. "My 24 caret diamond wedding ring has been *sob* stolen!" cried Eva. "Can you and some of your *sob* friends help to find it?"



"Slow down," said Copper. "do you have any clues about who stole it?"



"Yes. At the scene of the crime the *sob* detectives found this!!" Eva thrust a small pamphlet at Copper. Looking at it, she saw it was entitled: "Laptops for bunnies". CT remembered that there was a purple rabbit who often came to the War Tavern. HE used a lap top... Copper got out a telephone book and looked up every name in it. Not knowing the purple rabbit's name, this was no help, but it calmed Eva down to see Copper trying to do something.



Me walked in the open door. "Hello Copper. Why, princess Eva Earlong! What a surprise! What are you doing here?" CT filled Me in. After Me had been filled in, he said "Oh no! Not again! But why would he do it? He's my brother!"



Eva perked up. "Then you know where he lives? We have to go there at once!"
