Anyway, the way to avoid writer's block other than not writing is to have a plot mapped out in your head ahead of time, and then to let your characters run loose in this plot, allowing THEM to make the story, not have the story write the characters. A lot of Anime uses this element in their work, which is a major reason the characters have so much personality and can be hilarious when they interact. If you can get into your characters' souls, become each individual one of them, you won't have to worry about writer's block. Let the characters do the writing.
