1: Acid has a silver blaster similar to Jazz's, along with his rocket launcher.
2: Turtles are cold blooded, yes, but heat DOES effect cold blooded animals. If Devan wanted a different tempeture in there, he would heat it UP, rather than tone it DOWN, since cold blooded animals are more active in heat than in cold. That's why you'll see things like snakes and turtles basking in the sun, they're warming up their blood to gain energy.
