I recently lost a cordless mouse to Cordless Mice Heaven after it dropped one too many times. Temporarily, I used a borrowed mouse and now, with no notice, it seems that the person I borrowed it from needs it back. This problem seemed simple enough to solve, as I had a spare Logitech Cordless Duo mouse/keyboard. However, it seems that the mouse of the duo does not work. I have the receiver plugged into the PS/2 port with a USB-to-PS2 device. The keyboard works, but the mouse just sits there and does nothing. When I press the connect button, it looks like the receiver receives the connection, but the mouse remains unusable. The keyboard light on the receiver is lighted; the mouse light is not. I am using the default WinXP drivers. For some reason, Logitech's MouseWare driver goes very slow. I am currently in the process of using MouseWare to install the drivers, but it should really work with the default XP ones. (EDIT: Installed MouseWare drivers, but to no avail). I would like to return the mouse as soon as possible, and as such I would like to get this problem fixed as soon as possible. The following is my configuration, relevant or otherwise:

• Pentium 4 at 3GHz
• Sufficient hard drive space. ;-P
• 1024MB of RDRAM
• ATI All-In-Wonder Radeon 9700 Pro (128MB)
• Windows XP Pro in Safe Mode

Any help would be very much appreciated.
