The question is--do you consider it art if it doesn't have artistic value, but is merely a display of a mechanical skill? If you don't, realism has little or no value as an art form.

I think artistic value can be judged and I think there can be some in realism--but I think it's safe to say there's none whatsoever in this picture, based on both its content and presentation. No offense, KRSplat.
