Sadly, I'm afraid I can't come.

I forgot to tell my mom about the meeting untill now, and it seems she has to work all day; and sadly, she doesn't like the idea of me going there all alone, since it isn't really close by. Since my dad is on vacation to America untill the day AFTER(!) the meeting there isn't really anyone that can come with me, so she won't let me go. My mom tends to be somewhat fussy and, well... overprotective, for lack of a beter word, on these sorts of topics (she also doesn't like the idea of me being outdoors after midnight, for example), and I haven't been able to talk her into letting me go. I'm really sorry I won't be able to come, I was rather looking forward to it. The fact that I was unable to come to last years meeting doesn't make it any easier too.
