I like this idea. The articles system really isn't great because bad articles are mixed in with good articles. Having an online magazine or mailing list with high-quality articles would be really good.

The difficulty would be keeping it updated and keeping people interested. It would need to have original, informative, interesting, and provocative articles, and would need to be updated probably at least once a week.

The weekly mailing list idea might actually work better, because people would stay informed and it would really only need several articles per week With a website, especially one not a part of J2O, it will be hard to keep people visiting it regularily.
