I did a clean install of XP, and the exact error I got was:

Setup can't install Microsoft Sidewinder Game Device Software on your current operating system.
Check your Microsoft Sidewinder Game Device Software product packaging for system requirements.
I get this error as soon as I stick the CD in. Now, the packaging says it was made only for Win95, but it worked fine on my 98. Maybe you could somehow get me the updated software. The only things I saw to download on the sidewinder site was for the USB version and for the other gamepad that looks nothing like mine.
So, now what?

I went into explorer and tried all the exe's on the CD, and none of them worked, either.

I downloaded SWGameEN.exe and it didn't work either.
