usually, when attacking, multiple factors are put into play.

First, we have the ATTACK strength. This is how much damage it would do per base.

Second, we have EVASION of the enemy. This tells us if it hit them. Can you hit a moving target?

Third, we have DEFENCE of the enemy. This tells us how much of the damage is prevented.

Finally, we have LUCK. LUCK can tell us if it is a critical hit, which doubles base attack.

So basically, it's a crapshoot. a 1,000,000 Point attack will be nullified by a 1,000,001 Defence rating.
