Yes, a single portal between planes can destroy every plane in existance, or at least a couple million.
Tie a planeswalker to a chair. They won't dare shift planes with a chair...the chair would create a huge antimatter explosion, setting off raw antimatter (not contained, mind you) explosion, and this can spread like wildfire to the other planes, disrupting the fabric of time and, metaphorically, ripping a hole in time. Everything that has happened, will happen, or is happening...poof. gone in one careless retreat.
