The tentacle's tip comes off. It continues to hold the Interceptor II, and regrows it's tip.
The tentacle is thinnest at it's tip, for obvious reasons.

@Cooba- You really need to hurry. You only have a few days left till the universe it destroyed, and the warp gate I used was destroyed. The only remaining warp gate that you would have a chance to use is the one that used to be under the control of the ancient evil, and that one is a galaxy away from you. In my base you would find a map to it...
