As a guidline, if it allows you to get there without passing through the intervening space the heavy interdictors will block it. If this wormhole drive is a true drive in that it simply propells you around quickly with wormholes somehow, fine; the interdictors would just slow you down enough to keep you from manuvering past the defenses in place. However, if this wormhole drive is not a true drive in that it involves folding space so that the starting location and the ending location are linked (which, judging from your post explaining the wormhole drive, it does); it's wormholes would be easily collapsed by the interdictors.
