"Will reflecting the beams do any good?" you ask Shuriken, since she seems to be the only one with the mad ninja skills to know.
"No," she replies, "there are sensors on the other side; we can't break the beams. Mirrors would only be of any use if we could reflect the beam all the way around us and back directly into the sensor." You dislike how hopeless she makes the situation sound.
The rest of the room is completely empty. Not even a pile of gold or something.
